Nel 2016, BMW ha celebrato il suo centenario &#8211; e un secolo di rivalit\u00e0 tecnologica con Mercedes-Benz di Daimler. Sui giornali, Benz, che pu\u00f2 vantare l&#8217;invenzione dell&#8217;automobile nel 1886, si congratul\u00f2 con il nemico bavarese in modo ironico: &#8220;Grazie per 100 anni di competizione. La BMW ha realizzato la 507 Roadster, una delle auto pi\u00f9 belle mai prodotte. Sfortunatamente, i costi di produzione della BMW 507 erano troppo elevati, quindi la vettura era troppo costosa da vendere. Questo ha portato la BMW addirittura vicino alla bancarotta. Il modello non fu venduto molto bene, solo una manciata di persone molto ricche poteva permettersi di acquistarlo. Elvis Presley era uno dei proprietari di una BMW 507. Mercedes-Benz ha portato sul mercato il primo SUV di lusso, seguito da BMW qualche anno dopo. Ma BMW ha inventato il primo sistema di infotainment con iDrive, che, nonostante sia stato contestato all&#8217;inizio, \u00e8 diventato il gold standard nei sistemi di infotainment.<\/span> <span>Ora le due aziende sono in competizione nel campo dei veicoli elettrici e in termini di guida autonoma. I due giganti tedeschi sono stati per oltre un decennio in continua rivalit\u00e0, e questa competizione ha plasmato l&#8217;industria automobilistica e ha contribuito alla creazione di nuove invenzioni, tecnologie e concetti per il futuro.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"g-cols wpb_row via_grid cols_1 laptops-cols_inherit tablets-cols_inherit mobiles-cols_1 valign_top type_default stacking_default\" style=\"--columns-gap:3rem;\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><\/p>\n<h2>Guerra delle vendite<\/h2>\n<p> Nel 2003, Mercedes-Benz ha registrato le vendite pi\u00f9 alte, superando il Gruppo BMW (compreso il marchio Mini). La differenza tra Mercedes-Benz e BMW non era cos\u00ec grande, quindi i bavaresi decisero che potevano e dovevano puntare alla leadership del mercato. Il gruppo BMW ha approfittato del fatto che Mercedes-Benz sembrava avere la vittoria in tasca ed \u00e8 riuscito nel 2008 a vendere pi\u00f9 auto di Mercedes-Benz. Entrambe le parti non sono state colpite dalla crisi, ma dal 2010, la concorrenza \u00e8 stata ancora pi\u00f9 feroce, con Mercedes-Benz che ha realizzato il minor numero di vendite &#8211; in gran parte a causa del lento cambiamento di immagine, derivante dal lancio di nuovi modelli. Nel 2013, il Gruppo BMW era famoso in tutto il mondo, con cifre di vendita quasi doppie rispetto al 2004, e Mercedes-Benz \u00e8 &#8220;riuscita&#8221; a raggiungere i primi tre posti. In realt\u00e0, le differenze tra i due marchi non sono state cos\u00ec grandi, con BMW che ha superato Mercedes-Benz con appena 100.000 unit\u00e0, compreso il marchio Mini. La situazione delle vendite nel periodo gennaio-aprile 2014 \u00e8 stata la seguente: BMW: 569.100 unit\u00e0 vendute (+ 11%) e Mercedes-Benz: 507.353 unit\u00e0 vendute (+ 15%). <\/p>\n<h2>Il miglior gennaio nella storia della Mercedes<\/h2>\n<p> La classifica \u00e8 cambiata nel 2016. Mercedes \u00e8 diventata il pi\u00f9 grande produttore di auto premium del mondo. Inoltre, Mercedes e BMW hanno iniziato il 2017 con un record di vendite a gennaio, mentre la rivale Audi ha registrato un forte calo del 13% a sole 124.000 unit\u00e0. Mercedes ha registrato vendite di oltre 178.000 unit\u00e0 nel mese di gennaio 2017, ovvero il 18,3% in pi\u00f9 rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2016. \u00c8 stato il miglior gennaio dell&#8217;intera storia di Mercedes, e i risultati sono dovuti alla costante crescita cinese: 59.000 unit\u00e0 (+39%). D&#8217;altra parte, le vendite europee sono aumentate del 12% e la crescita pi\u00f9 bassa \u00e8 stata registrata negli Stati Uniti, dove la crescita \u00e8 stata solo del 3,5%. Anche la rivale BMW ha ottenuto il suo miglior gennaio della storia, ma si \u00e8 accontentata di un aumento del &#8220;7,2%&#8221; a quasi 144.000 unit\u00e0, quindi la differenza tra Mercedes e BMW \u00e8 stata di 34.000 unit\u00e0 in un solo mese. Il costruttore tedesco ha registrato una forte crescita delle vendite dei modelli X1 (+40%), Serie 7 (+29%) e Serie 3 (+6%), mentre le vendite dei modelli del gruppo elettrificato o &#8220;Plug ins&#8221; sono aumentate del 115%.
