Voortaan zal de aanbieder van digitale marktplaatsoplossingen voor tweedehandsvoertuigen bekendstaan als <strong>OPENLANE Europe<\/strong>. \u201cDeze rebranding sluit aan bij de naamswijziging van ons Amerikaans moederbedrijf en onze missie om de autogroothandel eenvoudiger te maken,\u201d zegt Jolijn Bockstaele, marketingmanager van het bedrijf.In mei van dit jaar werd KAR Global \u2013 het Amerikaanse moederbedrijf \u2013 omgedoopt tot OPENLANE. Dit digitale merk maakte al meer dan tien jaar deel uit van KAR\u2019s aanbod en is nu de naam voor zowel het moederbedrijf als de diverse digitale marktplaatsen in de VS, Canada en Europa.<\/p>\n<p>De naamswijziging benadrukt de voortdurende transformatie van het bedrijf naar een bedrijfsmodel met minder fysieke activa en een meer digitaal gerichte marktplaats.\u00a0In 2022 verkocht KAR zijn fysieke ADESA-veilinglocaties in de Verenigde Staten aan Carvana.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnze visie is om &#8217;s werelds beste digitale marktplaats voor tweedehandsvoertuigen te cre\u00ebren,\u201d zegt Grainne van Berkum, sinds november 2023 president van de Europese tak. \u201cWe zetten deze visie kracht bij door alle verkopers, kopers en voertuigen samen te brengen op openlane.eu voor het Europese continent en openlane.co.uk in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Door de kracht van een wereldwijde merkidentiteit te benutten, kunnen we innovatie versnellen en de algehele klantervaring verbeteren.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>De naamswijziging naar OPENLANE draait volgens het bedrijf om meer dan alleen een nieuwe naam. Het weerspiegelt hun inzet om het kopen en verkopen van tweedehandsauto\u2019s eenvoudiger te maken en tegelijkertijd het succes van klanten te vergroten. Van Berkum licht toe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cIn Europa maken we grensoverschrijdende verkoop eenvoudig door een veilige alles-in-\u00e9\u00e9n oplossing te bieden met eersteklas diensten en realtime leveringsopties. Ons logistieke netwerk in het Verenigd Koninkrijk en de rest van Europa zorgt voor soepele transacties en een effici\u00ebnte distributie.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTegelijkertijd maken we ook binnenlandse verkoop eenvoudig. Ons aanbod van lokale voertuigen groeit snel dankzij een sterk uitbreidend dealernetwerk. OPENLANE Verkoop, ons modulaire dealerplatform, biedt een reeks flexibele modules waarmee dealers volledige controle hebben over elke transactie.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2022 faciliteerden de verschillende OPENLANE-marktplaatsen de verkoop van 1,3 miljoen voertuigen met een bruto waarde van 23 miljard dollar, via een netwerk van meer dan 50.000 franchisedealers, onafhankelijke dealers, OEM\u2019s, financi\u00eble instellingen, verhuur- en takelbedrijven en wagenparkbeheerders.<\/p>\n<p>OPENLANE Europe verbindt wagenparkbeheerders, OEM\u2019s, groothandelaars en dealers met kopers in meer dan 50 landen in Europa.
