In dit geval is een certificaat van overeenstemming (COC) een document dat verklaart dat uw voertuig voldoet aan de EG-normen en vrij mag circuleren binnen de Europese Unie. In het COC verklaart de fabrikant dat het voertuig voldoet aan de normen en vereisten die door de EC zijn vastgesteld. Het identificeert het voertuig en de fabrikant, het typegoedkeuringsnummer, technische specificaties en andere gegevens. Wat het COC precies moet bevatten, is vastgelegd in de EU-verordening (Amendement IX, Verordening 92\/53).<\/p>\n

Alleen bepaalde motorfietsen, tractoren en passagiersvoertuigen komen in aanmerking voor een COC. Voertuigen die niet voldoen aan de EU-specificatie (bijv. voertuigen die zijn geproduceerd voor de Amerikaanse of Japanse markt) en oudere voertuigen die nog geen typegoedkeuring van de EG hebben gekregen, komen niet in aanmerking voor COC’s. Omgebouwde voertuigen kunnen ook geen COC’s krijgen.\u00a0In deze gevallen verstrekken wij geen COC. Deze informatie wordt benadrukt in de autobeschrijving, die wij u aanraden zorgvuldig te lezen.<\/p>\n
