9.14 How does the F-Gas Regulation affect my vehicle purchase?

The Regulation EU 2024/573 governs conditions to export vehicle containing fluorinated gases outside EU Customs Union.

If your vehicle stays within the EU Customs Union:
This regulation does not affect your purchase.

If your vehicle is being exported outside the EU Customs Union:
The regulation does apply and OPENLANE is fully licensed to export vehicles containing fluorinated gases.
To obtain the necessary Portal ID for customs clearance:

1. 1. Email your Auction ID and destination country to info@openlane.eu.
   2. Our team will promptly provide the required identifier.

(Note: The EU Customs Union includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden. Certain territories, such as the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla, French overseas countries and territories, Faroe Islands, Greenland and others, may be excluded.)
